Edward H. Schulz age 69 of Chandler Twp. near Elkton died early Monday morning, July 9 at Detroit Medical Center following complications after cancer surgery.
He was born June 2, 1943 to the late Edward and Hannah (Forstner) Schulz in Owendale.
On August 31, 1963, he was united in marriage to Jayne S. Bloomfield in Otisville.
Ed was employed at General Motors and Simms Chevrolet in Flint several years before coming to work at McCormick Motors in Pigeon. In 1981, he started his own business at his home, “Schulz’s Body Shop” retiring in 2009.
Ed enjoyed NASCAR racing, computer gaming, motor cycling, fishing and any outdoor activity.
Surviving are his wife, Jayne; five children, Susan (Gary) McCormick of Caseville, Steve (Janice) Schulz of Port Hope, Rachel (Scott) Deming of Yale, Chrystal (Jerry) Leggier of Kinde and Jill Furness of Kinde; 14 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Ellen) Schulz of Colorado and Wilmer (Dasie) Schulz of Memphis and two sisters, Alice (Dave) Campbell of Caro and Maeda (Charles) Nixon of Rock.
Preceding him in death was a grandson, Patrick McCormick; two brothers, Edward and Fredrick Schulz and a sister, Hannah Schulz.
There will be no public visitation or funeral service. Memorial gifts may be directed to the family.
