Edythe Lado

Edythe May , age 81 years, of Caro, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2009 at St. Marys of Michigan, Saginaw. The former Edythe May Morin was born on August 27, 1927 in Huron County to the late Fred and Mabel (Broderick) Morin. She was a lifelong resident of the Thumb, and on May 8, 1970 she was united in marriage to Bernard Lado at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church in Vassar. Bernard preceded her in death on November 30, 1998. Edythe was a Caro High School graduate and had been employed as a cook at the Caro Regional Center for a period of time. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Women of the Moose. In her early years she was involved in Helpline. She loved gardening, performing in plays, crafts, sewing, and winters in Florida. She is survived by one son, one daughter and their spouses, Terry (Lori) Kraft of Linwood and Sandra (Jim) Nastanski of Sarasota, Florida; three grandchildren, Tahnee (James) Thibodeau of Pinckney, Tenley (Matt) Lawton of Irvine, California and Luke Blohm of Pinconning; three great- grandchildren, Cierra Richards, Evan Thibodeau and Sienna Lawton; one sister, Vicki (Glenn) Turner of Pigeon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by the remainder of her siblings, Stanley, Beatrice, Mildred, Betty, Fred and Jack. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dennis Kucharczyk officiating. Following cremation, the Rite of Committal will be at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Reese. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Tuscola County Medical Care Facility.
