Eileen Helen Peltier, formerly of Ferndale, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Northwood Meadows Nursing Home in Cass City. She was born October 25, 1920 in Dubois, Pennslyvania to the late Frank & Marian (Kaminski) Kuzner. Eileen married Frank Peltier July 19, 1947 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Detroit.
Eileen was active in the Brownies, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, local blood drives, PTA's and worked at the voting polls during elections. Her other interests include gardening, sewing, canning, reading, fine dining, traveling and spending time with her family. She had summer homes in Port Hope and Lewiston Michigan at different times. She wintered in Venice, Florida.
Eileen is the beloved wife of the late Frank; loving mother of Candice E. (Ali Berke) Sayre of Sechelt, British Columbia, Canada, Susan F. (Ernest) Lueder of Cheboygan, Michigan & Bradenton, Florida, Sheryl J. (Lee) Wenskay of Pigeon, Michigan, & Thomas B. Peltier of North Port, Florida. She is the proud grandmother of Jacqueline, Jennifer, Andrew, Stephanie, Kathryn, & Rachel, and great grandmother of five. Eileen is the dearest sister of Kenneth E. Kuzner of Nashville, Tennessee and the late Frank Kuzner. Eileen is also the aunt of two nieces.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Grandlawn Cemetery, Pigeon.
