Eilene Edith Fiebig-Ward, age 84, of Sebewaing, passed away peacefully, into the welcoming embrace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on August 16, 2014.
Eilene was born on October 31, 1929 to the late Gerhard and Mary Fritz. She married Norman A. Fiebig on October 30, 1946, who preceded her in death on October 29, 1986.
On December 17, 1994, she married Glenn M. Ward, who survives her.
Eilene was a lifelong dairy farmer, spending her life dedicated to dairy and agriculture, becoming a 35 year member of the Michigan Milk Producers Association, with her husband Norman Fiebig, and being a part of attaining a Centennial Farm status in 1996.
After marrying Glenn Ward in 1994, Eilene enjoyed her retirement by gardening, hunting, fishing, traveling, loving her dogs and animals, and watching the birds.
A daughter of Jesus Christ, Eilene was a confirmand and member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Sebewaing.
Eilene is survived by her husband, Glenn; children: Diane Warack (Tim Hartman), of Sebewaing, Marilyn Spannagel (Mike) of Unionville, Howard (Beth) of Sebewaing, Earl (June) Fiebig of Caro, Donna (Mark) Miller of Sebewaing, and Debbie (Tim) Kubacki, of Sebewaing; step children: Greg Ward and Sheri Ward of Florida, and Robin (Mike) Counsell, who preceded Eilene in death and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, August 18, 2014 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 3-8pm.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.
Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church-General Fund, Thumb Animal Shelter, or Children International.
