Elaine Dorothy Bill

Elaine Dorothy Bill, age 94, passed away Friday, July 3, 2015.

Elaine was born August 6, 1920, Detroit to Albert and Edith (Goerke) Sherf. She worked as a secretary in her youth and was also part of the USO during WWII. Elaine married Clarence J. Bill on December 9, 1950. He preceded her in death in 1993. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing.

Elaine is survived by her daughter, Carol (Greg) Wissner of Champain, IL; sons, Richard Bill of Sebewaing and John Bill of Saginaw; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. The past year Elaine lived with and was taken care of by her granddaughter, Jessica and her family.

Elaine is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; siblings, Melvin and Mildred Scharf, Maebelle (Leonard) Crowe and Vera (Robert) Grimble; and daughter, Diane (Alex) Kovach.

Visitation will be Monday, July 6, 2015, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 3-7pm.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will take place at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Sebewaing.

Memorial donations may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
