Elaine Fay Licht, 83, of Pigeon, passed away Good Friday, April 15, 2022 at Scheurer Hospital Long Term Care.
Elaine was born January 8, 1939 in Sebewaing to the late Edward and Hannah (Oker) Spomer. She graduated from Sebewaing High School in 1957. On August 23, 1958 she married Raymond Licht at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing; he preceded her in death September 19, 2020.
Elaine was a farmer’s wife, taking care of the books and working outside the home at Thumb National Bank. She was a member of Cross Lutheran Church where she participated with the choir and women’s group. She enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking, gardening, being in nature and watching birds.
Elaine is survived by her sons Alan (Peggy) of Pigeon, David (Sherry) of Florida, and Michael (Sally) of Troy; grandchildren Nathan (Jessica), Andrew (Angela), Jordan (Katie), Kendra (Kenny), Justin (Rebecca), and Laecoln (Warren); great-grandchildren Maeson, Kloei, Shyann, Avah, Boden, Hoyt, Dani, Colton, Griffin, Taylor, Aubrey and Brooks. She was preceded in death by her daughter Brenda and granddaughter Kaylee Rae.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, April 20th at Cross Lutheran Church in Pigeon with Rev. Glenn Sokolowski officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 Tuesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel.
