Elda H. Weidner

Elda H. Weidner, age 98, of Sebewaing, passed away January 18, 2018, at Courtney Manor Nursing Home in Bad Axe.

Elda was born in Sebewaing on April 10, 1919, to Ferdinand and Hilda (Pobanz) Weidner. Elda worked as a clerk for Rummels, Esterlein's and Engelhardt Petroleum. She was a baptized, confirmed and a member at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. She was a member of the church's LWML and was the oldest member at Immanuel. She enjoyed cleaning, baking, watching cooking shows and playing bridge.

Elda is survived by her sister, Ivadell Engelhardt; niece and nephew: Jim (Mary) Engelhardt and Marlana Krolickie; great nieces and nephews: Paul (Nancy) Engelhardt, Craig Engelhardt, Kevin Krolickie, Jeffrey Krolickie, Jason Krolickie, Anissa (Jason) Kuhl and Branden (Lisa) Gettel; many great great nieces and nephews including her special kids: Marissa, Natalia, Ethan, Dawson, Treston, Madison and Mason.

Elda is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Raymond Weidner; and niece, Patrice Gettel.

The visitation and service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 10am-12pm, with the service at 12pm. Rev. Michael Boyer will be officiating.

Burial will take place privately at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Sebewaing.

Memorial donations may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
