Eleanor J. Burzynski, 85, of Caseville died May 18, 2014 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.
Eleanor was born June 25, 1928 in Detroit to the late Thomas and Harriet (Bokuniewicz) Welker. She graduated from St. Casimir High School in 1946. On June 18, 1949 she married Joseph Burzynski at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Detroit.
They moved to Caseville in 1992 from Warren. Together they enjoyed spending winters in Vero Beach, Florida. She had an artistic talent in both painting and music, as well as sewing.
She is survived by her husband Joseph; children William of Illinois and Linda (Jami) Cork of Indiana; grandchildren Christopher (Amanda) Landrum, Joseph and Kara Burzynski; great-grandchildren Jacob, Mitchell, and Austin; son-in-law Stephen Landrum of Warren; daughter-in-law Audrey Burzynski of Florida; and brothers Thomas (Peggy) Welker of Holly and Donald (Dee) Welker of Dearborn Heights. She was preceded in death by her son Thomas and daughter Maureen Landrum.
A funeral mass will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 22nd at St. Roch-OLPH Catholic Church in Caseville. Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
Visitation will be 3-7 Wednesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville.
Memorials may be made to St. Roch Building Fund.
