Eleanor Y. Stephens

Eleanor Y. Stephens of Caro, age 89, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community in Caro, following a period of declining health. Eleanor was born March 25, 1929 in Juniata Township, the daughter of the late Howard Ernest and Zella Mae (Newberry) Moeller. She was united in marriage with Robert Stephens on September 25, 1948 in Caro, and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2011. Eleanor was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed being home with her family. She also liked collecting ceramics. Eleanor is survived by four children and their spouses, Dale & Linda Stephens of Plattsburg, New York, Joanne Carter of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Randy & Carol Stephens of Caro, David & Geri Stephens of Chester, Virginia; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one step-sister, Onalee Geeseman of Lake City. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. Burial will follow at the Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Forget-Me-Nots of the Tuscola County Medical Care Community.
