Eleanor Mae Werth, age 70, of Caro, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Caro Community Hospital. She was born on September 4, 1938 in Hazel Park to the late Edward and Helen (Dembrowski) Brinkey. Eleanor spent her youth and early years in Oakland County, and on February 10, 1955, she was united in marriage to Glenn Werth in Rochester. He preceded her in death. She has lived in Tuscola County since they moved here in 1970. Eleanor was a homemaker and mother who enjoyed gardening when she was able and trips to the casino. She is survived by her six sons and their spouses, Dannial Werth of Caro, Glenn Jr. and Christina Werth of Oxford, Bill (Loralee) Werth of Caro, Dale (Clydena) Werth of Oklahoma, Larry (Jill) Werth of Beaverton and Don Werth of Farwell; fourteen grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren; her siblings, James (Laverne) Brinkey of Waterford, Sonny (Edith) Brinkey of Utica and Bill (Charlotte) Brinkey of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her remaining siblings and a brother-in-law, Don, Larry and Betty Brinkey, as well as Florence and Eddie Dailey. The graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at Indianfeilds Township Cemetery with Chris Taylor facilitating. There will be no visitation at the Collon Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
