Eleanore F. Bradshaw, age 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at Caro Community Hospital. Eleanore was born January 6, 1916 in Stone City, Kansas, the daughter of the late Agnes and Frank Frye, and moved with her family to Belleville, Illinois, where she spent her younger years. She worked in a defense plant during World War II, and moved to Detroit following the war, where she was united in marriage with John O. “Jack” Bradshaw. He preceded her in death in 1983. Eleanore was an accomplished seamstress, played the guitar, and sang and danced with many community groups in Eastpointe. During her time in Eastpointe, Eleanore was also a polling inspector for many years. In 2005, she moved to Caro to be near her niece, Kim (Alan) Wasik. Eleanore lived at the Caro Senior Commons, attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and enjoyed the Human Development Commission Dining Center. She was also a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Eleanore cherished time spent with her family and friends and kept in contact with many of them by email. Eleanore is survived by two nieces, Kim (Alan) Wasik of Caro, and Jane Fitzpatrick of Evans Mills, New York; many great-nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Ethel (Hermie) Tarpening. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Beatrice Bell and Pat Hagemeier.
