Eleitha Charlotte Leinweber

Eleitha C. Leinweber, age 102, of Gagetown, passed away Monday morning, April 16, 2018, at her home.

Eleitha was born on March 9, 1916, in Brookfield Twp., to Frederick and Elizabeth (Weimer) Pobanz. After graduating from high school, she married August Leinweber on December 19, 1936, in Bach, Michigan. He preceded her in death on August 14, 1996. Eleitha was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Bach where she was very active and in the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed playing cards, quilting, going for car rides, watching the Detroit Tigers, Bonanza, Little House on the Prairie, and visiting with family and friends.

Eleitha is survived by her children: Patricia (Gary) McHalpine, Grace Stahl, Larry (Judy) Leinweber and Jeff (Debra) Leinweber; grandchildren: Mitchell (Amy) McHalpine, Mark McHalpine, Laurie (Jim) Bailie, Mike McHalpine, Scott (Petra) Stahl, Shane Stahl, Stuart Stahl, Susan Mayse, Alyson (Steve Flake) Leinweber, Lindsay Leinweber, and Joshua Leinweber; great grandchildren: Emily, Jacob, Shawn, Samantha, Brianne Shae Lynn, Jordan, Franklin, Truman, Christopher and Matthew; and 5 great great grandchildren.

Eleitha is preceded in death by her husband, August; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Nancy Leinweber; grandson, Steve Stahl; and siblings: Tom, Daniel, Levi, Karl, Fred and Charlotte.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-7pm.

The funeral will be Friday, April 20, 2018, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church (Bach). Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will take place privately at the church cemetery at a later date.
