Elizabeth “Betsy” Farver, 80, of Elkton, died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.
Betsy was born January 7, 1938 in Elkton to the late Rudolph and Arleta (Roth) Forster. She was in the Class of 1956 from Elkton High School. She married Bruce L. Farver February 11, 1956 in Angola, Indiana. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. She loved being a wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, baking and her cats.
She is survived by her husband Bruce; children Brion of Elkton, Laura (Gerry) McIvor of Midland, Lezlie (Bob) Zielinski of Caseville, Susan (David) Bouck of Pigeon and Kelly (Tim) Ferguson of Pigeon; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; siblings Mary Jo (Ed) Kosinski of Elkton, Rhonda (Greg) Matelski of Bad Axe and Kevin (Peggy) Forster of Caseville; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert, sister Judy, great-granddaughter Keagen and daughter-in-law Cindy Chappel Farver.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday, December 13th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Elkton with Rev. Rodney Schwab officiating. Visitation will be 2-7 Wednesday at the funeral home.
