Elizabeth "Betty" Little

Elizabeth Little of Caro, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Covenant Health Care - Cooper in Saginaw. She was born November 4, 1924 in Akron, the daughter of the late Zigmond and Anna (Szoligy) Olah. Betty was united in marriage with Richard "Dick" Little on July 20, 1963 in Standish. He preceded her in death on August 9, 2001. Betty was a Caro High School graduate. During World War II, she worked at Pontiac Motors as a "Rosie the Riviter". After the war, she was employed at the Hotel Montague prior to working at the Caro Regional Center as an attendant nurse. She retired from the hospital in 1984 and spent her remaining years enjoying her family, reading and gardening. Betty was a member of the Tuscola County Polish American Club and the State of Michigan Retirees Association. Betty is survived by two children and their spouses, Zig & Shelly Little of Caro, and Kim & Greg Michalski of Deford; five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Katelyn, Sean, Adam and Tyler; two sisters-in-law, Catherine Olah of Caro and Ann Olah of Rochester; her nephews and a niece. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Joseph, Steve, Zigmond, James and Louis Olah. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Chris Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Novesta Township Cemetery in Cass City. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
