Elizabeth "Mae" Mihacsi

Elizabeth Mae Mihacsi of Unionville, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at the Bay County Medical Care Facility in Bay City. Mae was born September 22, 1936 in Attica Township of Lapeer County, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Vera (Sanford) Edgett. She was united in marriage with John Mihacsi on August 22, 1953 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Unionville, and he preceded her in death. Mae loved her dog, Tippy, a good cup of coffee, and watching and feeding the birds. She also enjoyed watching elk and observing her son hunting and fishing, along with reaping the rewards of his endeavors, which included cooking the fish and game. Mae was a very social individual and loved being around people and talking on the phone. She had been an Avon sales representative for several years. Mae is survived by one sister, Betty Mitchell of Otisville, and her children, Daniel & Melba Mitchell, David Mitchell, Deborah Mitchell, Karen Boring; four sisters-in-law, Kay Mihacsi, Marge Mihacsi, Barbara & Ken Bellingley, Rose Marie & Joe Sakon; and many special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mae was preceded in death by four children, Michael on April 21, 2012, and infants, Dennis Morgan, Kelly Jo and Samantha Mihacsi. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Unionville with Rev. Steven Stolarczyk officiating. Burial will follow at Rich Township Cemetery in Mayville.
