Elizabeth V. Pistro

Elizabeth V. Pistro of Caro, age 101, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Fisher Senior Care & Rehab Center in Mayville. Elizabeth was born August 30, 1920 in Norton, Virginia, the daughter of the late James and Julia (Marcus) Nemeth. She worked as a welder during World War II and in the automotive industry manufacturing arm rests. Elizabeth was a member of St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church. Elizabeth is survived by one son, James Pistro of Caro; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Sarah Pistro of Caro; and one brother, Joseph Nemeth of Detroit. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Pistro, Sr.; one son, Charles Pistro, Jr.; and one daughter, Patricia Forge and her husband, Robert. Funeral mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Caro with Rev. Christopher Coman officiating.
