Elizabeth Sieland

Elizabeth Ann Sieland, age 86, of Caro passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Caro Community Hospital. She was born on April 14, 1924 at Caro to the late Karl and Mary (Vandeven) Sieland, and was a lifelong resident of Caro. She attended school in Caro and Chicago. Betty had worked at Thumb Laundry and had also done some babysitting. She was very much a people person; she loved playing cards, Bingo, crocheting, embroidery, walking downtown, the Tuscola County Fair, and going to the show. Betty was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She is survived by her nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and four sisters. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. There will be no visitation at the Collon Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility or the charity of the donors choice.
