Elizabeth Ann Southgate, age 91, of Unionville, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 at Vadavilla AFC Home in Unionville. Elizabeth was born August 7, 1920 in Unionville to the late Anton and Katarina (Schuster) Katzinger. She married Durward C. "Tuck" Southgate at Hickory Island Parsonage in Akron Twp. He passed away February 13, 1981. Elizabeth was a member of the USA Senior Citizens, the Sebewaing VFW Ladies Aux, and enjoyed gardening, watching the birds and spending time outdoors.

Elizabeth is survived by her children: Jerry (Diane) Southgate, Judy (Dean) Bush, Jay Southgate and Jeff (Rhonda) Southgate. Her grandchildren: Renae (Brian) Galsterer, Kurt (Heather) Southgate, Kent Bush, Lori (Craig) Young, Brad (friend Tammy), Lacy Southgate and Courtney Southgate. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews, and her 2 sister-in-laws: Bonna Southgate and Nancy Katzinger.

Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband Durward "Tuck" Southgate, her daughter Jacky Southgate and her grandson Craig Bush.

Visitation at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 4-8pm and Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 2-8pm.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 27, 2012 at Wisner United Methodist Church, 5375 N. Vassar Rd, Akron, MI. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Rev. Dr. William Sanders will be officiating.
