Elizabeth Marie Vargo

Elizabeth Marie Vargo of Cass City, age 57, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Covenant Health Care - Cooper in Saginaw. She was born January 9, 1959 in Caro, the daughter of the late Julius and Marion (Day) Vargo. Liz lived with foster parents, William and Loretta Hacker, from the age of six. She was a 1977 graduate of Cass City High School, and attended Concordia Lutheran College in Ann Arbor. She was employed at RGI in Clifford as a factory worker. Elizabeth was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cass City. She is survived by her son, Tommy Lang of Lake; her foster parents, William & Loretta Hacker of Cass City; her siblings, Mary & Frank Summerer of Port Huron, Ray Vargo of Gagetown, Stanley & Tammy Vargo of Clarkston, Washington; sister-in-law, Betty Vargo of Port Huron; foster sister, Wanda & David Gilles of Brighton; foster brother, John & Marnie Hacker of Cass City; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jack Vargo, Donald Vargo, David Vargo, Frazer & Wanda Vargo. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Pastor Steve Bagnal of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church officiating.
