Elizabeth Woichan

Elizabeth Woichan, age 83, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2007 at Covenant - Cooper in Saginaw, following a brief illness. She was born March 14, 1924 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Louis Elizabeth (Csoke) Suranye. After graduating from Caro High School, she was employed as a beautician in Detroit for several years. She was married to Leonard “Barney” Woichan on October 12, 1946 in Caro. He preceded her in death on August 19, 1990. Elizabeth was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro and its Quilters Club, the Tuscola County Polish American Club, and a former member of the Hungarian Club in Vassar. Liz enjoyed being with her family, gardening and knitting. Elizabeth is survived by two sons, Leonard Dale Woichan and Richard James Woichan and one granddaughter, Katrina Brooke Woichan, all of Caro, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Liz was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
