Ella L. Glann

Ella L. Glann (Nutt), age 88, of Sebewaing, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011 with her family at her side. She was born October 4, 1922 to the late Robert Arthur Nutt and Mildred Loiuse (Carr) Nutt. Ella married Donald James Glann January 16, 1944. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2006 and her granddaughter Jodi Lynn Houthoofd passed away in 1973.

Ella was the best mom, grandma, and great grandma. She enjoyed sewing, catering for many years, and was an excellent bookkeeper. She was the Past President of the Ladies Auxillary at the VFW in Sebewaing.

Ella leaves behind her beloved children: Janet McAlpine of Clifford, Russell & Phyllis Glann of Kawkawlin, and Carolyn & Jerome Houthoofd of Unionville. Seven grandchildren: Brian & Jennifer Ferns of Clifford, Kraig Houthoofd of Bay City, Kelli Houthoofd of Sebewaing, Kyle & Sarah Glann of Sanford, and Gia Glann of Bay City. Four great grandchildren: Tyler & Isabelle Deneen of Sebewaing, and Morgan & Natalie Glann of Sanford. She also is survived by 3 sisters, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, August 15, 2011 from 3-8pm at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing. There will be additional visitation Tuesday at 9am until the time of service.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, August 16, 2011, 11am at the Funeral Home.
