Ella Schmidt

Ella Schmidt, age 101, of Sebewaing, passed away August 3, 2020, at Winter Village in Frankenmuth. She was born November 9, 1918 to Levi and Melvina (Eckstein) Schneider. She is survived by her daughters: Deanna Holland, Bonnie Robb and Cheri (Thomas) Emmons. She also is survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas, whom she married on May 30, 1939. Nick passed away October 21, 1986.

Ella was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing. There she was active in multiple ways. She also belonged to the Women's Auxiliary of the Sebewaing American Legion Post #293.

Ella enjoyed time with her family and many friends. She loved bowling (several 300 games) and playing various games, especially card games and bingo.

The funeral service will take place Saturday, August 8, 2020, outdoors, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing. Ella will lie in state at the church from 1:00PM until 2:00PM. The celebration of her life will begin at 2:00PM. Please wear masks. You may bring your own lawn chair if you so wish.

Memorials may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church, Bay Shore Camp or the Women's Auxiliary of the Sebewaing American Legion Post 293.
