Ellen Asher

Ellen M. Asher, age 81, passed away peacefully at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility on Thursday, April 2, 2009 following a period of declining health. She was born May 27, 1927 in Vassar, the daughter of the late William Alice Donnelly. Ellen was preceded in death by three husbands, Carl Corkins, the father of her children, passed away in 1974. Robert Campbell preceded her in death in 1983 and Jim Asher in 1987. Ellen will always be remembered as a person that loved talking to people and enjoyed being with her family, crocheting and watching television. Ellen is survived by two sons and their wives, Gary Carol Corkins of Caro, Rodney Shari Corkins of Fostoria; six grandchildren, Tina Aymer, Julie Wright, Jennifer Edgerton, Kina Swift, Deena Corkins and Anthony Corkins; several great-grandchildren; one brother and his wife, Chuck Barb Donnelly of California and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her three husbands, Ellen was preceded by one son, Leonard Corkins in 1969, four brothers and four sisters, Ed, Andy, Dan and Pat Donnelly, Elizabeth Kelly, Jeneath Pretzer, Dorothy King and Jean Summerfield.
