Ellen Romain

Ellen Elizabeth Romain passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, age 98. Ellen was born on May 23, 1910 in Caro, to the late Joseph and Catherine (OBrien) Romain. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Ladies Auxiliary, and the Forget-Me-Not Club. Ellen loved letter writing, needle point, flowers, and kittens. Surviving are many friends and relatives. Preceding her in addition to her parents, was a step-mother, Lovena Dishaw Romain; and siblings, Sister Mary Walters O.P. and a baby brother. Funeral Liturgy will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dennis Kucharczyk officiating. Rite of Committal will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at11:00 a.m. Vigil for the Deceased will be held at the Collon Funeral Home Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Tuscola County Medical Care Facility.
