Elois M. Simpson

Elois M. Simpson of Caro, age 93, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community in Caro. Elois was born December 1, 1926 in Caro, the daughter of the late F. Sheldon & Beatrice (Kelly) Wilsie, and graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1944. She was united in marriage with Robert Simpson on June 1, 1946 in Caro and celebrated fifty-eight years together before his passing on December 30, 2004. Elois was employed for a brief time at the Caro Regional Center before taking an office position at the family business, Wilsie Kelly Chevrolet and Oldsmobile in Caro. In her spare time, she was an avid card player and enjoyed attending Bingo at the Caro American Legion Post. She traveled extensively throughout the United States with family and close friends, and always had time to spend with grandchildren. More recently, Elois attended the sporting events of her great-grandchildren, whom she cherished. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a loyal Pistons and Tigers fan. Elois is survived by two daughters, Linda Bennett of Cass City, Karen Simpson of Cass City; two grandchildren, Ryan Bennett (Deb) of Caro, Emily Lasceski (Harold) of Cass City; nine great-grandchildren, Abigail and Isabelle Phillips, Wyatt and William Lasceski, Ethan Sizemore, Zachary Bennett, Blake Sizemore, Rylan and Grayson Bennett; one brother, Richard Wilsie (Brigitte) of Arizona; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Elois was preceded in death by two siblings and their spouses, Shurley & Sharlie Wilsie, and June & Virgil Timko. The family wishes to thank the Tuscola County Medical Care Community and staff for the expert and loving care provided to Elois. In keeping with Elois' wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service in her memory will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2020 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Dr. Tony Tomasino officiating. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:30.
