Emma Mason

Emma F Mason, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2010. She was born on July 4, 1920 in Livonia, Michigan. She worked at the Ypsilanti Bomber Plant as a “Rosie the Riveter” during World War II and then Hydramatic Corporation. She was married for 55 years to Robert Mason who retired from Fingerle Lumber Company in 1995. She was a member of the Northfield Historical Society and enjoyed her own yard sales as well as organizing Marine Corps yard sales. Her biggest love was collecting junk. Survivors include her beloved husband, Robert M. Mason; her dear cousin, Alma Foerster; two nieces, three nephews and numerous friends and neighbors. A graveside service will be held at Ellington Township Cemetery in Caro, Michigan on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Ronald Wigand officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Northfield Historical Society or American Cancer Society. Local arrangements were handled by the Collon Funeral Home in Caro, Michigan.
