Emma Lou Vallance, 74, of Caseville, died Thursday, September 7, 2006 at Bay Regional Medical Center in Bay City after a short illness.
Emma Lou was born December 17, 1931 in Wolverine, Michigan to the late William Cady and Mildred (Stokes) Mealoy. She married Willard Vallance of Cheboygan on January 7, 1950 in Cheboygan. They moved to Pontiac where they raised their family and she worked at the Pontiac State Hospital. After visiting Caseville for many years, they retired and moved there permanently in 1989. She was a member of the Caseville United Methodist Church, the Caseville Library Club, and she was the secretary of the Caseville Retirement Club.
She is survived by her children Larry (Mary) of Oxford, Don (Lori) of Odessa, Florida, Bill (Debbi) of Grand Blanc, Russ (Siggi) of Germany, George (Marty) and Kim (Loren) Gary both of Indian River; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; a sister Helen Canfield of Cheboygan and brothers Cady (Willeta) Mealoy of California, Ron (Nan) Mealoy of Jackson and Russ (Donna) Mealoy of Cheboygan.
Emma Lou was preceded in death by her husband Willard in 2000.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 12th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville.
Visitation will be 1-5 PM Sunday and 3-8 PM Monday.
Memorials may be made to the Caseville Retirement Club.
