Eric Karl Johnson

Eric Karl Johnson of Caro, age 49, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Caro Community Hospital. Eric was born March 16, 1964 in Midland, the son of the late Dale and Patricia (Morley) Johnson. He proudly served as a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy. After retiring, he moved to Caro where he enjoyed camping with family and friends and riding his Harley. He was a member of the Fairgrove V.F.W. Post #7486. Eric is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jo, whom he married on December 31, 2011; children, Erika Johnson and Brian Johnson, both of Washington, Trevor (Sandy) Stewart; granddaughter, Kaydin of Caro; nine brothers and sisters, and his beloved "Buffy Jo". A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014 at the Sutton Sunshine United Methodist Church with Chris Taylor officiating. Military Honors will be afforded by the Fairgrove V.F.W. Post #7486 and the U.S. Navy. Cremation has taken place and burial will follow at a later date at the Ellington Township Cemetery.
