Erna L. Bumhoffer

Erna L. Bumhoffer, age 81, of Elkton, died Wednesday morning, August 13, at the Huron County Medical Care Facility.
She was born December 9, 1926, at the home of her parents, the late Edward and Louise (Furhman) Lange in Rubicon Twp.
On September 9, 1952, she was united in marriage to Leonard W. Bumhoffer at St. John Lutheran Church, Port Hope and moved to a farm in Oliver Twp. later on they moved in to Elkton.
Erna was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid. She enjoyed gardening both vegetables and flowers, and also loved to sew.
Surviving are her husband, Leonard; three children, Donna (John) Chiotti of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Robert (Dolores) Bumhoffer of Sand Point and Ronald (Janet) Bumhoffer of Elkton; five grandchildren, Juli Chiotti of Phoenix, AZ, Micah Chiotti of Washington DC, Clifton Bumhoffer and his fiancée', Nicole Schmiedeknecht of Detroit, Jonathan and Samuel Bumhoffer of Sand Point and leona Tinsey of Bad Axe.
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Roland and Wilford Lange.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, August 16, at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Elkton with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Elkton.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 PM Friday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton and after 10 AM Saturday at the Church.
