Ernest L. Haley, 69, formerly of Grant Twp. died December 24, at Palm Beach Gardens Hospital, Florida.
He was born May 15, 1945 in Bad Axe to the late Aaron and Evelyn (Schember) Haley. Ernie was a 1962 graduate of Owen-Gage High School.
He had many master plumbing licenses and retired from his own plumbing company, Haley’s Plumbing. He loved the Miami Dolphins, NASCAR, playing cards and bowling.
Surviving are his wife, Jerilou, daughter, Kimberly; three grandsons, Alec, Espen and James; his sisters, Lois Rousse of Illinois, Judy Milton of Bay Port and Jewell (Mike) Klecamp of Bad Axe; four brothers, Ervin of Sebewaing, Frederick (Sandra) of Elkton, Ronald of New Jersey and Anson (Melanie) of Almont and sister-in-law, Char Keilor. Also surviving are several aunts and uncles; a multitude of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, along with friends and relatives.
Preceding him in death were his daughter, Catina and her mother, Josephine; brothers, Edward, Ivan and Ennis; brother-in-law, Larry Rousse; sister-in-law, Ginnie Haley; niece, Rebecca Rousse and nephews, Ronald Haley Jr and Kevin Haley and great nephew, Kevin Haley Jr.
Memorial services will be conducted 3:00 PM, Sunday, April 19, with visitation after 2:00 PM at the Community of Christ Church on S. Elkton Road. Elders Karen and Steve Bouverette will officiate.
