Estelle Romain

Estelle M. Romain, age 92, passed away unexpectedly at her home Friday, February 8, 2008. Estelle was born July 9, 1915 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Joseph Mary Dudek. She came to the Caro area with her parents in 1929 and was united in marriage to Bernard L. Romain on November 10, 1940. They owned and operated a farm on French Road for many years before Bernards death on July 28, 1968. Estelle was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro and was also a former member of the Altar Society. Estelle enjoyed crocheting and embroidering for her family and friends. Estelle is survived by one daughter, three sons and their spouses, Lorraine Frank Kanary of Arvada, CO, Ronald Carol Romain of Stillwater, MN, Bernie Barb Romain of Grand Blanc, Larry Wendy Romain of Caro; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters and their spouses, Alyce Col (Ret USA) Fredrick Haase of Caro, Joann Frank Baranski of Caro, Lillian Bernard Musiet of Carleton, MI and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Estelle was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
