Esther Sylvester

Esther Marie Sylvester, age 61, of Millington, formerly of Caro, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Covenant Health Care Harrison in Saginaw. She was born on December 2, 1945 in Monroe to the late Floyd and Myrtle Traster. Esther was a Kingston High School graduate and a lifelong resident of Tuscola County. She was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of a book club, did painting, and enjoyed gardening. She attended the United Pentecostal Church in Caro. Esther is survived by three children and spouses, Sherrie McConnell of Cass City, David (Tina) Sylvester of Millington and Paul Sylvester of Unionville; nine grandchildren, one great-grand-daughter; her siblings, Betty Bernthal of Reese, Donna (Art) Davidson of Oscoda, Sue (Jerry) Stoick of Caro, Karen Traster of Owendale, Linda (Charles) Keezer of Bayport, Edward (Dianna) Traster of Caro, Fred (Chryel) Traster of Ponder, Texas, Harold (Kathy) Traster of Pahrump, Nevada and Joe (Peggy Sue) Traster of Pahrump, Nevada; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Carl; two nephews, Christopher Albin and Felix Traster; a niece Cindy Green, and a son-in-law, Troy McConnell, Sr. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the Ellington Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ron Comfort officiating. Visitation will be at the Ellington Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Esther Sylvester family discretionary fund, c/o Sherrie Mc Connell at 2357 Hurds Corner Rd., Cass City, MI 48726.
