Esther Loretta Vaughan

Esther Loretta Vaughan of Caro, age 80, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Satchell's Christian Retirement Home in Caro. Esther was born January 25, 1942 in Mayville, the daughter of the late Carl and Vera (Grinnell) Middleton and graduated from Mayville High School, Class of 1960. She was united in marriage with Carl Vaughan and together they cherished thirty-four years of marriage prior to Carl's death in 2010. Esther was employed as a secretary with Greenstone Farm Credit prior to her retirement. She also was a volunteer at the Caro Community Hospital gift shop for many years. Esther enjoyed walking her dogs, reading and working in her yard. Most importantly, she loved time spent with family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Caro. Esther is survived by her children and spouses, Lori & Tom Roth, Dan & Jeanie Bills; step-children, Larry Vaughan, Brenda & Ron Rude, Kathy & Lee LaBeau, Cherie & Dan Rivet; grandchildren, Jennifer Bills, Julian & Mark Braem, Jordan Bills, Adam Roth, Carson Vaughan, Jaceley & Steve Babcock and Amber Rude, Aaron & Nikki Loehr; great-grandchildren, Amelia Braem, Jacob and Eivin Loehr, and Teddy Babcock; three siblings and spouses, Arnold & Linda Middleton, Clare Middleton, Elaine & Jerry Fuller; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Roy Middleton and Lorraine Miller. Funeral services will be held at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2022 with Rev. Marc Herron officiating. Burial will follow at Almer Township Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church of Caro or Cass River Pet Friendz.
