Eunice E. Louks

Eunice E. Louks of Caro, age 84, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community in Caro. Eunice was born September 19, 1937 in Caro, the daughter of the late Clayton & Dorothy (Mullin-Daniels) Knowles. She attended Caro High School and was employed for over thirty years with the Tuscola County Medical Care Community as an aide, ward clerk, and wound nurse. Eunice retired in 1995 but continued to care for her mother and two aunts until their deaths. Eunice was a natural caregiver, and the needs of others always came before her own. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic faith that centered her life around God and family. She loved to play the piano and could feed and entertain countless family members at her home where there was never a shortage of desserts. Eunice also enjoyed crocheting and remained a diehard Detroit Tigers fan to the end. Left to cherish her memory are five children and their spouses, William & Kathleen Louks of Caro, Brenda & Steve Wachowicz of Cedar Springs, Roger & Jackie Louks of Caro, Thomas Louks of Caro, Alaine Carlisle of Vassar; six grandchildren, Trevor Schlicht, Melissa Louks, Amber Louks, Megan Haebler, Michael Louks, Courtney Carlisle; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Louks in 1993; and two siblings, Faye Ozbat and Gordon Knowles. The Louks family would like to thank the staff of the Tuscola County Medical Care Community for the expert and loving care given to their mother over the past several years. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with burial to follow at the Indianfields Township Cemetery. Eunice's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Forget-Me-Nots of the Tuscola County Medical Care Community.
