Eva Katherine Karl, 80, of Caseville, died Sunday, May 22, 2022 at the home of her daughter while under hospice care.
She was born July 26, 1941 in Detroit to the late Nelson and Theresa (Guster) Breismeister and moved to Caseville with her family in 1945. On January 2, 1960, she was united in marriage to Joseph Karl at St. Roch Catholic Church, he preceded her in death on September 23, 1987.
Eva was employed at Walt’s Restaurant as the cook for 19 years and then at GRM, Caseville. She was a faithful member of St. Roch Catholic Church where she cleaned the church and rectory for 21 years. Eva enjoyed baking and being with family and friends.
Surviving are seven children: William Karl of Caseville, Joseph (Christie) Karl of Pigeon, Christine Karl of Kinde, Theresa (Mitchell) Langley of Bad Axe, Martin Karl of Pigeon, Kathy (Paul) Wolschlager of Bad Axe and Kelly (Rory) Mc Phee of Elkton; grandchildren Joleen, Ashley, Amber, Adrianna, Alyssa, Richard, Christopher, Jodi, Jordan, Brandon, Nicholas, Austin, Mirandia and Matthew; great grandchildren Braxtyn, Karsyn, Quinton, Chaselynn, Cali, Caden, Oaklynn, Brantley, Emma, Jocelyn, Jaylee, Luke, Remi, Zaria, Theo and Brayden; her brother, Daniel (Bonnie) Briesmiester of Owendale and sisters-in-law, Cathy Briesmiester of Caseville and Tina Briesmiester of Bad Axe.
Preceding her in death were a great-granddaughter, Jayden Petrat on July 15, 2008 and four siblings, Maryann and Sharon Bailey and David and Dale Briesmiester.
A memorial celebration of her life will be 11:00am Tuesday, May 31st at St. Roch Catholic Church in Caseville. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00am until the time of service. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
