Everitt W. Bletl Sr, 52, of Elkton, died Sunday, September 16, 2018 at home under hospice care after a five year battle with cancer.
Everitt was born July 31, 1966 in Detroit to Catherine (McNeil) and the late Gerald W. Bletl. He graduated from Bad Axe High School. He married Sharon L. Taylor on March 17, 1984 in Bad Axe. He worked 27 years at Huron Castings, retiring as a supervisor. He enjoyed hunting, barbequing and making his family laugh with his sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife Sharon; children Everitt Jr of Elkton, Ashley Hornedo of Bad Axe, Rebecca (Branden) Bouverette of Gagetown, Joshua (special friend Cathy Hedin) of Port Austin and Derek of Port Austin; grandchildren Quentin, Eli, Josie, Samuel, Ava, Christopher, Zaevier, Sarah, Emma, Nicholas, Braden, Randy and Aria; mother Catherine Bletl of Bad Axe; siblings Gloria (Patrick) McArdle of Elkton, Matthew (Carissa) Bletl of Bay Port, Laura (John) Walker of Ubly, June (Shawn) McIntyre of Applegate and Bill (Susan) Wolschlager of Killeen, Texas; niece Brittani Thompson; nephew Bryon Thompson; and sister-in-law Gail Thompson.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, September 20 th at Victory in Christ Community Church in Bad Axe with Rev. Stewart Justin officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00am Thursday at church and continue until the service time at 1:00pm. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
