F. Keith Carr, age 84, of Elkton died Friday morning, May 8, at Courtney Manor, Bad Axe.
He was born October 12, 1924 in Oliver Twp. at the home of his parents, the late Floyd and Grace (Clunis) Carr.
On Oct 19, 1946, he was united in marriage to Virginia M. Seley at the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Elkton. He and Virginia were married 61 years, she passed away March 21st of last year.
Keith was the assistant manager of the Elkton Co-op Farm Produce Company for 35 years retiring in 1984. After retiring, he drove school bus for awhile. In his free time, Keith enjoyed stripping and refinishing antique furniture.
He was a long time member of the Elkton United Methodist Church, Elkton, and served on the board as financial secretary for 20 years, and was scout master for the Elkton Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for many years. Keith loved to bowl and enjoyed serving the league as secretary for years.
Surviving are two children, Mark (Kim) Carr of Elkton and Bethany (Tom) Quinn of Sparta and three grandsons, James Quinn, Scott (Melissa) Carr and Daniel Quinn and his sister-in-law, Dolores Carr of Southern Pines, NC.
Preceding him in death was his brother, Courtney.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 12, at the Elkton United Methodist Church. Rev. John Ball, pastor will officiate with burial in Grant Twp. Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton, from 2 to 9 PM Monday and at the church after 10 AM Tuesday.
