Fannie E. (Reddick) Ellis, age 91 years, of Caro passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2008 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, to be with her husband, Norman. She was born on March 26, 1916 in Defuniak Springs, Florida, the daughter of the late Randal and Eliza (Burnham) Reddick. On July 3, 1934, the former Fannie Reddick married Norman Ellis in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2007; they had celebrated 72 years of marriage. Fannie joined her husband as a self-employed beekeeper. The Ellis came to Michigan in 1935. She was a member of the Kedron Chapter of Eastern Star, the Caro United Methodist Church, and a past member of the National Beekeepers Association. She is survived by three children, Norma Albin of Houston, Texas, Marion (Leon) Graham of Caro and Janice (Leigh) Ganley of Caro; her grandchildren, Cindy (Jerry) Woodruff of Caro, Steve (Debbie) Albin of Houston, Texas, Gregory Ganley of Caro, Sandra Gutierrez of Caro, Edward (Beth) Ganley of Caro, Susan (Mark) Copeland of Deford; her great-grandchildren, Amy Woodruff, Ryan Woodruff, Tony Mitchell, Gino Gutierrez, Samuel Gutierrez, Jennifer Gutierrez, Max Gutierrez, Whitney Ganley, Mason Copeland, Riley Copeland, Livia Ganley and Christine Albin; one brother, Jay Reddick of Pensacola, Florida; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister, Ran Reddick, Chandler Reddick, Ford Reddick and Edith Merritt; and one granddaughter, Carol Albin. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Ronald Wigand officiating. Burial will be at Indianfields Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Wednesday from Noon until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Tuscola County Medical Care Facility or United Hospice of Marlette.
