Fannie Hudek

Fannie Hudek, age 94, of Caro passed away on Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. She was born on November 10, 1915 in Almont, Michigan to the late Emre and Elizabeth (Spahnn) Elevin. The former Fannie Elevin married Stephen Hudek, and he preceded her in death in 1990. She was a high school graduate, and spent her life taking care of her family and home, all of which she enjoyed. She was a member of the Catholic faith, and enjoyed bingo, crocheting, and traveling. She is survived by one son, William Emre Hudek, Sr. of Mayville; two grandsons, William Emre (Kathy) Hudek, Jr. of Caro and Brian (Kimberly) Hudek of Roseville; four great-grandchildren, Billy, Brady, Caitlyn and Ashlee Hudek; and one sister, Catherine Elevin of St. Clair Shores. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Stephen; and her remaining sisters, Barbara, Ann, Margaret and Helen; and a brother, John Elevin. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Monday, February 22, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Chris Taylor facilitating. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Detroit on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Sunday, February 21, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to charity of the donors choice.
