Ferdinand Schneider, Jr.

Ferdinand Schneider, Jr., age 68, of Akron, formerly of Sebewaing, passed away Monday, December 19, 2011 at Tendercare Nursing Home in Cass City. Ferdinand was born February 18, 1943 in Sebewaing to the late Ferdinand and Molly (Brinkman) Schneider. After graduating Sebewaing High School he entered into the United State Navy. He retired after 22 years as a Chief Petty Officer. He was a member of the Sebewaing VFW Post.

Ferdinand is survived by his lifelong companion, Marlene Dennis; his children, Jeff, Marlo, Fred, Candy, Kellie Nelson, Russ Pruss, Randy Dennis, Patricia Dillon and Carol Kranson; his sisters Mary (Jim) Engelhardt, Sharon (Jim) Giroux and Nancy (Bill) Watson; his Godmother, Emma Schneider; his grandchildren, Robbie, Jessica, Trevor, Dylon and Meiguel; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 21, 2011 from 2-8pm at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home, Sebewaing.

The funeral service will be 11am, Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Columbia Twp. Cemetery in Unionville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family discretionary fund.
