Florence Elsie Eimers

Florence E. Eimers, age 92, of Cass City, formerly of Caseville, died Monday, February 22, 2010 at Tendercare Cass City.

Florence was born in Bach, Michigan on December 17, 1917 to the late Cyrus Reuben and Edith Ann (Chambers) Barber. She married Willard Joseph Eimers on November 25, 1936. Willard preceded her in death on May 16, 1999.

She raised her family at a farm on Dunn Road near Caseville. In 1980 they moved to Tarpon Springs, Florida and returned to Cass City in 1999 to live near her daughter after her husband’s death. She enjoyed playing cards and BINGO. She was well loved by her family and the many people at Tendercare.

Florence is survived by her son Gerald and his wife Mary of Caseville and daughter Ruth Ann and her husband Gary Wichert of Cass City; 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son William and baby daughter Florence.

A graveside memorial service will be in the spring at Caseville Township Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
