Florence L Heinitz
Florence "Mrs. Hiny" L. Heinitz, 86 of Unionville, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Carriage House of Bay City.
Born in the Unionville area on February 15, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mollie (Spangler) Holzwart and in 1944, graduated from Unionville High School. In 1949 she was married to Lawrence A. Heinitz in Unionville, and he passed away in May of 1999.
Florence helped Lawrence at the Unionville Elevator office. She worked at Hiny's Total Gas Station, and worked at McAlpine Insurance in Fairgrove. She enjoyed playing Bingo and loved to crochet many beautiful doilies. Years ago, she was an avid bowler.
Florence was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and St. Paul Lutheran Church, both in Unionville.
She is survived by five children: Cathy Heinitz (fiance Gary Seib) of Unionville, Becky (Larry) Heider of Sebewaing, Larry Heinitz of Sebewaing, Jeffery Heinitz (girlfriend Mary) of Unionville, and Gerald Heinitz of Ruskin, Florida; a step daughter, Judy Engel of Alger; five grandchildren; five step grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy McAlpine of Fairgrove and Vida (Lawrence) Ewald of Unionville; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and many dear friends and caregivers at the Carriage House in Bay City. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark; four sisters; and a brother.
The Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home, Sebewaing, Michigan, with Rev. Michael Allen officiating.
Memorials may be made to the family discretionary fund.

Tuesday, August 13 2-8 PM

Wednesday, August 14 12 noon until the 1 PM service time
