Florence Hannah Liken
Florence Hannah Liken, age 90, of Sebewaing, passed away Tuesday morning, April 23, 2013 at Satchells Christian home in Caro.
Florence was born April 30, 1922 in Sebewaing to Edward and Wilhelmina (Kunisch) Brandenburg. She married Theodore "Ted" Liken June 12, 1954. He preceded her in death in January 15, 1975. She was an active lifelong member at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. After graduating from high school, she attended Bay City Beauty College and then operated her own beauty salon for many years. She also worked as a rural letter carrier and was a former Luke's Supermarket employee.
Florence is survived by her children: Susan Beachy, John (Denise) Liken and Ruth Anne (Curtis) Strickland; and one brother, Clarence Brandenburg.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ted Liken; her parents, Edward and Wilhelmina Brandenburg; and one brother, Frederick Brandenburg.
A private visitation and service will take place at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to Immanuel Radio Mission Fund.
