Florence Ann "Ponnie" Prucnell, age 83 of Bad Axe, Michigan passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Meadowlane Assisted Living in Bad Axe.
Born in Thealka, Kentucky on August 29, 1932, she was the daughter of Hirst and Zelda (Vanhoose) Bailey. On April 4, 1952 she was united in marriage to Edmund A. Prucnell in Richmond, Indiana. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2010.
Ponnie retired in 1984 from Pace Industries, where she was a box production worker, and was a member of the United Paperworks International Union, Local 1002.
She loved to dance. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan, she loved her Kentucky Wildcats as well as stock car racing.
She is survived by two sons, James (Rosemary) Prucnell of Pigeon, Michigan and Steven (Mary) Prucnell of Macomb, Michigan; grandchildren, Matthew (Megan) Prucnell, Angela (Michael) Trasko, and Sarabelle Owens; great-grandchildren, Alaina, Gavyn, and Adelyne Prucnell and Layla and Wesley Trasko, sisters, Julia Fay Music of Ashland, Kentucky, Jennie Lou Klug of Macomb, Michigan and Martha Sue Ward of Sidney, Indiana; brothers, David (Sabra) Bailey and Ferrell (Mary) Bailey, both of Grayson, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Alice Jean DesJardin and Bula Neal Alley; and brothers, Fred Wilden Bailey, Wallace Ray Bailey, and Charles Clay Bailey.
Funeral Services will be conducted by Sparks Funeral Home, Grayson, Kentucky (sparksfh.com), on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with entombment at Rosehill Park Cemetery.
