Florence Wright

Florence A. Wright, age 81 years, of Fostoria, formerly of Caro, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2008 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. She was born in Cass City on September 29, 1926 to the late Henry and Etta (Wright) McLellan. Florence McLellan and George Wright were married on December 23, 1943 in Cass City. She had been employed for a number of years at the Caro Regional Center as an attendant nurse. Florence had raised canaries, and in her spare time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, embroidery and paint by number. She had attended Watertown Center Bible Church. Florence was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, George Wright; one son, one daughter and their spouses, George Jr. (Pat) Wright of Mikado, Michigan and Shari (Jerry) Tompkins of Fostoria; daughter-in-law, Judy, of Caro; six grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Gladys (Stanley) Koch of Caro; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Wright in January of 1978; three brothers, Don, Bob and James McLellan; one sister, Lucille Wright; and one great-grandson, Keegan Stieler. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Cliff Jordan officiating. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Florence Wright family discretionary fund.
