Florence Ann Zimmer

Florence Ann Zimmer, 102, of Caseville, died Thursday, December 6, 2012 at her home while under hospice care.

Florence was born August 30, 1910 in Chandler Township to the late Arthur and Mary Jane (Eddy) Whitney. She lived her entire life in Huron County, many of those years on a farm on Kinde Road near Pinnebog as a homemaker and wife. In 1970 she moved into her home in Caseville. She was a life member of the Pinnebog United Methodist Church. She took pride in her appearance, and didn’t like leaving home unless she looked her best, usually dressed in her signature red.

She is survived by her son Gerald of Punta Gorda, Florida; grandsons John, Jeffrey, and Joseph; great-grandchildren Jacob and Cody; sister Evelyn Adams of Plymouth; and special friend Bob Matteson of Caseville.

She was preceded in death by her husbarnd Vern Zimmer in 1977 and her sisters Irene Thompson, Marian Dumaw, and Alice Christner.

A memorial will be planned at a later date. Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville is handling the arrangements.
