Frances Anne Campbell

Frances Anne (Hatch) Campbell passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on November 5, 2023, at the age of 83. She was born on February 6, 1940, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late James L. H. Hatch and Frances B. (Schwannecke) Hatch.


Anne graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1958. She later went on to earn her associate degree from Delta College. Early in her career she worked for Michigan Bell Telephone, retiring from the State of Michigan D.H.S., after 25 years of service. Anne was a member of the Catholic faith, belonging to St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church, of Caro, and formally a member of St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephen Church, of Saginaw.


Anne is survived by her loving husband, William E. Campbell of Caro. She was blessed with three children with her husband, Dean H. Hoffman: Hon. David D. (Ann) Hoffman, Christine A. Hoffman, and Daniel J. Hoffman. Anne is also survived by her granddaughter, Gabriella (Matthew) DeVries, great-grandson, Beckham, and grandson Grant Hoffman; her sister, Mary A. Kotulionus and two sisters-in-law, Carmen J. Pasternak and Karolyn K. Hoffman; stepson, Gregg (Jennifer) Campbell; dear friend Reni Baranski; many nieces and nephews.


In addition to her parents, Anne was predeceased by her brother, James L. Hatch; sister-in-law, Margaret Hatch; brother-in-law, David Kotulionus; and beloved stepson, Rocky Campbell.


A private Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church, Caro, Michigan on Thursday, November 9, 2023. The family would like to thank the staff at Saginaw Community Village, Vadavilla Adult Foster Care, and Tuscola County Medical Care Facility.


Anne will be missed by her beloved dog, Bones.


A celebration of life for friends and family, will be announced at a later date.
