Frances Louise Mc Leod, age 70, of Caro, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at St. Marys of Michigan. She was born on September 15, 1940 in Detroit to the late Frank and Irene David. Fran came to Tuscola County as a child, and then to Caro as a teenager in 1953. She was a Caro High School graduate, and on May 3, 1958, the former Frances David was united in marriage with Robert Mc Leod at the First Baptist Church in Caro. Fran was a homemaker and raised their four children. She enjoyed growing flowers, watching birds, cooking, and collecting recipes. For many years, she accompanied her husband hunting and fishing. She is survived by her husband, Robert; her children, Kathleen (Glenn) Tate of Nederland, Texas, Robert Mc Leod II (Tracy) of Sebewaing, James F. Mc Leod of Ann Arbor, and Cheri (Mickey) Montle of Millington; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; her siblings, Emory David of Caro and Robert (Minnie) David of Kingston; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, William Sholes; and her sister, Rosemary Milligan. The funeral service will be held at the Caro Church of the Nazarene on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at ll:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul McNett officiating. Burial will be at Indianfields Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Collon Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to American Lung Association of Michigan, 403 Seymour, Lansing, MI 48933-1179
