Frances "Fran" Mary Fader

Frances “Fran” Mary Fader of Dryden, formerly of Caro, age 75, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Select Specialty Hospital in Flint. She was born September 23, 1949 in Caro, the daughter of the late Henry and Adeline (Kaminskas) Wagner. Fran was a proud member of the Caro High School Class of 1967 and grew up attending the Ellington Church of the Nazarene. On October 25, 1969, she married the love of her life, Wayne Fader. Their marriage was blessed with over fifty-five years, two wonderful children, and four beloved grandchildren. Fran enjoyed activities such as bowling, attending craft shows, crocheting, and making custom sweatshirts. Above all, Fran’s greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she lovingly called “her babies”. With a heart of gold, she was always ready to offer a helping hand or a kind word, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Fran leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Wayne; children and their spouses, Arthur & Hollie Fader and Roxanne & Terry Jubenville; grandchildren, Drake, Arden, Justin, & Adelynn; sister, Shirley & Russell Barriger; sister-in-law, Sharon Giddings; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Fran was preceded in death by her brother, Carl Wagner; nephew, Daniel Barriger; and brother-in-law, Chuck Giddings.

Fran’s funeral service will be on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ellington Church of the Nazarene. The burial will be at Almer Township Cemetery. The family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro and again on Friday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
