Frances Elsie Meyer

Frances E. Meyer, age 85, of Sebewaing, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021, at Tuscola Medical Care Facility in Caro.

Frances was born January 9, 1936, in Kilmanagh, to William and Ida (Kuehn) Rehbein. She graduated from Sebewaing High School. She then married Donald Meyer on August 29, 1959, at New Salem Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Together they owned and operated Riverside Paint & Wallpaper for 25 years in Sebewaing. Frances enjoyed working puzzles, fishing, snowmobiling, decorating and doing DIY projects, working in her flower garden (especially her roses), watching the cooking channel and reading her cookbooks. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family. She was a member of New Salem Lutheran Church in Sebewaing.

Frances is survived by her children: Kirk (Sharolyn) Meyer of Bay City and Julie (Brian) Kaczorowski of Sebewaing; grandchildren: Seth (Lauren) Meyer, Hope (Matt) Madigan, Jenna Kaczorowski and Jared Kaczorowski; great grandchildren: Jude Meyer and Emberlee Madigan; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Donald (2010); and her siblings: Carl (Edna) Rehbein, Wilbert Rehbein, Alvin (Margaret) Rehbein, Laverna (Fred & Henry) Kumans-Hedlund and Luella (Carl) Stier.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 2, 2021, at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing, from 2-8pm.

The funeral service will be Monday, May 3, 2021, at New Salem Lutheran Church, 222 E. Grove St., Sebewaing.  Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Rev. William Mayhew will be officiating.

Burial will be at Wisner Township Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to New Salem Lutheran Church.
